as a traditional christian, it's harder for me to join in on high school groups at my school due to it's liberal agenda but i've found groups where i don't feel silenced because of my faith. if anyone is having trouble with high school groups, here are some helpful tips for other christians on what to consider before joining any group.

1. Does it silence God?

some groups at high schools are quite liberal and will victimize christians because of a hate for God. pay attention to the core belief system of the group before joining it, if the group attacks people of faith as brainwashed and narrow minded, avoid the group and pray for them.

2. What is the agenda?

groups with leftist agendas should generally be avoided by hard core christians because they could feel out of place or unwelcome. consider the mission of the group and how the mission is completed.

3. Does it promote unhealthy ways?

a lot of groups at schools promote anti christian lifestyles and try to lure christians in to brainwash them. always think about what the group is promoting and read up on scriptures, the bible will tell you what's sin and what isn't.

4. Is there an initiation?

some groups are not as friendly as others and are quite masonic in initiation. if the group is an initiation one, that's a red flag to stay away.

5. Is the group loud?

louder groups tend to be more aggressive to those who disagree with them from my encounters. groups that are more neutral or quiet about their opinions tend to be friendlier to all and healthier to interact with.

i never would join advocacy groups because they tend to be unfriendly to those who disagree with them and are very opinionated and loud, i almost joined one but left because they were intolerant of my faith and in general, not very friendly, and it takes a lot to get to me.
